Listen to Episode 25 – “Scary, Scary, Scary and the Great Quick Service Debate – Magic Kingdom Edition” to hear our thoughts!
Let’s talk about quick service locations at the Magic Kingdom! The problem is that the Magic Kingdom is not very well known for it’s theme park food. There are some really good options if you look but most places there are on the “skip it!” side.
Casey’s Corner – Known for it’s hot dogs, and those corn dog nuggets. Casey’s isn’t known for much else. It’s also really small and can get super busy during meal times. Main Street USA.
Verdict? Skip it!
Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe – Known for hamburgers and it’s out of this world entertainer – Sonny Eclipse. Cosmic Ray’s is a large quick service located in Tomorrowland. The menu used to have some great options like a roasted chicken and ribs combo, but now it’s more along the lines of hamburgers and more hamburgers. Tomorrowland.
Verdict – With the old menu it was worth a stop, but right now we say skip it!
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Cafe – Known for Mexican dishes. Pecos Bill is a solid option generally. The fajita bowls are great, and the nachos are a super easy shareable meal. The only issue we have right now is the lack of do-it-yourself toppings bar. Frontierland.
Verdict – Hit it if you’re hungry, but don’t expect much more than Taco Bell fare
Pinocchio’s Village Haus – Known for flatbread pizza and fantastic fun views of “it’s a small world”. They even added signs you could hold up for the riders below to view! Pinocchio’s isn’t great. The flatbread is skippable, and don’t even get us started on the pasta. It does tend to have seasonal desserts though, so check it out if you’re looking for the Not-So-Poison Apple cupcake. Fantasyland.
Verdict – Skip it, unless you just can’t find anything else.
Columbia Harbor House – Known for seafood dishes. Columbia Harbor House is a favorite, with lighter dishes like grilled salmon or shrimp, lobster rolls, a veggie sandwich, and typical fries seafood as well, this is almost always a hit with everyone. The upstairs dining area is a great secret area and is usually much quieter than the downstairs seating. Liberty Square.
Verdict – We love it!
